Office Mission

Faith Formation, by which people consciously grow in the life of Christ through experience, reflection, prayer and study, must be "the axis around which revolves the catechesis of childhood and adolescence as well as that of old age."  (General Directory of Catechesis)  This can be done specifically through developing...a better understanding of and participation in the full sacramental life of the Church.  (Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us, Statement of the United States Catholic Bishops)

The Office of Faith Formation and Parish Pastoral Services seeks to make this vision a reality.  Recognizing that this faith journey is a life-long, ongoing process and in accordance with the Diocesan Mission and Goals, the Office seeks to enlighten, empower, and enable the faithful to live to the fullest their baptismal call to be a  People of God.  The Office provides a variety of programs, experiences, and services to assist the faithful in growth and development in the fields of faith formation and pastoral ministry.
