1) Destructive David. Family Films, 1988. 25 min.
“Destructive David doesn’t see God’s handiwork in the birds chirping overhead or in the spider’s intricate web. He grumbles at flowers, steps on anthills, and sneers at squirrels. But then he goes to an art exhibit and meets Lorenzo, a wooden peacock sculpture. Suddenly, to David’s surprise, this unusual sculpture miraculously comes alive. Lorenzo opens David’s eyes to the beauty of God’s creation. David becomes a “new” little boy, and no one is more surprised or more happy than the flowers, ants, and the squirrels. It is a delightful, fast paced tale.

4) First Communion Taking a Place at the Table. Cincinnati, Ohio: St. Anthony Messenger Press. 30 min.
"Offers parents a basic foundation as they help their children approach the Eucharistic table for the first time. The story segment tells of a young First Communicant who learns that receiving the Eucharist means taking on more of a "grown-up" responsibility-to care for others as Jesus did. This segment can be viewed by parents with their child who is preparing for First Communion. In the witness segment, real-life parents reflect on how they prepared for their children's First Communion. In the teaching segment explains how the Eucharist calls us to live our lives as a sign that we will "do in memory" what Jesus did for us. The program concludes with a music video reflection that captures the warmth, joy and sense of family with which the Hispanic community celebrates the Eucharist-in the song, "Pan de Vida," the Bread of Life."

5) Preparing Your Child for First Reconciliation. Cincinnati, Ohio: St. Anthony Messenger Press. 32 min.
"The story segment, an original children's tale by nationally known catechist, Judith Dunlap, entitled "The Festival Fabric," contains artwork and music drawn from African culture. Two children in an extended family learn that their misdeeds affect the rest of the family and that they must seek reconciliation to restore its harmony. In the witness segment, real-life Catholic parents relate their experience of preparing children to celebrate Reconciliation. In the teaching segment, Father Tom Richstatter encourages parents to share the Good News of God's reconciliation with their children. The music video reflection for children is an original song entitled "Johnny's Tears" that models how Jesus extends God's forgiving love to the child in the sacramental moment."
