preparation program
A Wedding is a Day. A Marriage is a Lifetime.

Objectives of the
program:
- Prepare engaged
couples and couples in existing marriage for the Sacrament of Matrimony.
- Assist in the
formation of Marriages and Christian families.
- Unify the Matrimonial
Pastoral Process in the Diocese of Reno.
- Provide a resource to parishes without a team or
ministry for the preparation to the Sacrament of Matrimony.
- Offer integral
formation to couples who desire to be united in the Sacrament of Matrimony,
in particular on the following areas:

Theological
§
Sexual
§
Sacramental
§
Ecclesial

Requirements for
the candidates of the program:
- The couple is
principal required is to meet with a priest of their parish. Without this
interview the couple cannot be admitted to the program.
- On the day of the
program the couples are required to present the following
form.
- Couple must stay for
the entire day to receive the certificate.
- Interview by phone
with Maripaz Ramos, at the Office of Ethnic Ministry (775) 326-9423, or with
the coordinators of the program: Mr. Ramiro Ramírez and Mrs. Araceli Ramírez,

4. Certificate:
- At the end of the day
during the Celebration of the Eucharist, a certificate will be awarded to
the couple for their participation, which can be presented to their parish.

- Based on the Format of
Marriage Encounter:
1)
A presentation by a team couple takes place.
2)
Candidates reflect on presentation.
3)
Candidates dialog as a couple.
4)
Candidates have an opportunity to share with other couples.

The program is offered every three months with previous announcements to the
parishes.

Program Cost:
- Program cost is $40.00
per couple. The registration fee includes: Continental Breakfast, dinner,
and program materials.

by telephone 775-326-9423 within Nevada 1 (800) 225-1866 Ext. 423 (between
the hours of 8:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. Monday-Friday). One month in advanced is
highly recommended.
